Its not that I'm trying to make it like FL. I still have issues with drums and drum patterns as I mentioned. But, haven't really thought that way since.

I think i was trying that initially first few months when I got into it. I think you are saying to stop trying to make Logic like FL. I realized that I actually misinterpreted what you said here (thought you said switching to Logic was wrong path) hence my initial reply. FL might have capabilities that Logic doesn't, and the opposite is also true. You're trying to use a workflow (workflows) you developed during 8 years using FL in Logic, which might be a waste of time. Adjust your workflow to the DAW you're currently using, not vice versa. In my (humble) opinion, you're on a wrong path here. Help if you can thanks!Ĭant Edit the alias.png (351.5 KiB) Viewed 1592 times Alias of Original that I cannot Edit.png (400.56 KiB) Viewed 1592 times Clicking to Edit Orignal. I don't mean to put Logic down in anyway its just after a year I think maybe it's not for me. If you have read all this thank you so much. I cant have the drums full range as I like). Ultra-Beat: (Can't change multiple drums into its own full range)ĮXS 24: (Can't see all my drums at once in the same screen to build patterns)Īlchemy: (The new sampling ability is nice but same problem can't see multiple samples at once in same screen to edit)ĭrummer/Designer, etc: (These are nice for its own capabilities.

Being able to start from a patch, drum-kit, anything to build patterns and then convert each sound of that pattern into its own full range without losing what I already built in order to change pitches as I like (no i don't want to automate or manually do it). Requirement #2: Being able to have as many drums as I'd like and having full range for each sound/drum. (I know you can do this somewhat in Logic's Drummer but, I need this for full freedom of whatever I desire to use) Then, I want to be able to continuously do that over and over as many times as I like without having to change the alias again! I want to be able to change 1B in Section 4 that will change 1B in section 1, 2, and 3. I want to be able to change any of the regions anywhere in my song while being able to edit it anywhere as desired in real time while the changes occur everywhere else I already associated that region with. Later in my song if i want to make changes, the only way I can keep the patterns to reflect the changes everywhere it is A1, is by changing the first instance of the pattern which in this example would be changing it at Section 1. Pretend this is a arrangement of regions: -> 1A 1B 1C 1D | 1A 1B 1C 1D | 1A 1B 1C 1D | 1A 1B 1C 1D Requirement #1: Being able to change a pattern/clone/alias anywhere in my beat that will automatically change the patterns associated as a alias/clone of that one. ( Requirement #2 I can deal with as it is, if Requirement #1 can get solved!)
